The Service Department at Toyota of Fort Worth was DISLIKED on Google Reviews.
The sunroof on my 2004 Toyota Highlander stopped functioning while open. It wouldn’t close at all. The warranty had expired.
Greg Stubbs, the service advisor at Toyota of Fort Worth quoted $1631 to replace sunroof. This would include a new motor, all cable required, and the service costs. Gregg informed me that the service department couldn’t repair it. In my opinion, after considering the value of the Toyota, the price was too much.
Instead, I asked him to close the window and not worry about replacing parts. I could live without the ability to open and close my sunroof. Then Gregg told me the sunroof window would not close unless replaced. Repair was not an option.
Like most people, I agreed to the $1700 replacement at first. At the moment, I needed to get to work. I didn’t have time to get quoted other places. I wasn’t sure anyplace that could do this repair.
In addition to the repair costs, Greg charged $35 per day for a rental car. This shocked me! The Dealerships back home always issue a loaner car when repairs are being done.
